I have had some survive ok, I have had others completely crushed.Michi wrote:I ordered mine through Gamestop, for the sole reason that I did not want to risk Amazon sending it to me in a bubble mailer. That's how they sent Project X Zone to me. Thankfully it wasn't damaged in any way, but I was worried.

I imagine it's not just the packaging but the carrier that has an effect on the final damage.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV

soft cardboard box in a bubble envelope = bad idea no matter who ships it.MrPopo wrote:I imagine it's not just the packaging but the carrier that has an effect on the final damage.

No mine was UPS. I think Popo is right, my wife said the carrier basically threw it at the front door.dsheinem wrote:maybe it's a carrier distinction? my amazon stuff comes UPS 9 times out of 10
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV
My stuff is almost always shipped USPS. Except for last time, when I ordered 3 items and they shipped 1 UPS (in a box that was 6 times bigger than it needed to be) and 2 by Fedex Smartpost (in the bubble mailer).
Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV
you all give your UPS guy regular hand jobs back rubs, right? Tends to help...
Re: Shin Megami Tensei IV
Yeah, once you get beyond the boxes suitable for a small number of books the box sizes are few and far between, so you very frequently get a box that's far too big from a volume perspective, but the smaller boxes wouldn't fit your item.Michi wrote:My stuff is almost always shipped USPS. God, I know way too much about packaging after spending 4 years writing software for those warehouse.
