Games with Japanese language option

Valkryia Chronicles for PC offers a Japanese audio option. Sadly the in game chatter during combat(character one liners and combat reports) isn't subbed but everything else is.

I'm pretty sure Deception IV: Blood Ties has an option for Japanese text... Can't confirm atm since my PS3 isn't hooked up, but I remember thinking it was odd that it was an option as I've never heard of games that did that haha

Can anyone re-confirm these PS3 games have at least Jap text on the disc before I buy?:

[EDIT: Killzone 3 from Trilogy is full Jap, killzone 1-2 trilogy have none.
Resident Evil 5 Gold - confirmed does have jap text.
MG Rising - confirmed, jap text

I've added a special category for substantial prototype games in my list, by the way.
Recently leaked The King of Fighters 94 Rebout (Xbox) recognizes the Japanese dashboard option with effects like win quotes.

I just bought Bulletstorm because it was on your list, but there's no jap at all after the XMB menu and loading screen. Mine is the limited edition, which might be why.
Is there a region option to change on the system other than system language?

Kind of. I don't know much about games using the PSN account to decide language.

Bulletstorm I have the USA limited edition. jap menus and subtitles, english voice.
PAL or other regions may be different (some games like Yoshi's Story and Super Smash Bros Melee removed support in europe).

So we have the same disc in the same region (?North America yes?) but you get Jap and I get none, even after changing the system language...
I didn't get any DLC, did you? I can't think of any other reason we should have different language content like this.
My system is not linked to a PSN account of mine, and the previous owners were not gamers and didn't have one either.
Any ideas anyone?

Little Big Planet two is the only other game so far that has done this, appears to have Jap on the disc because it changes in XMB menu and install screens, then nothing afterwards.

I'll try emailing one of the game companies I guess.

I think I figured it out. You need to go online. Bulletstorm added japanese support by a patch.
Deleting the update data than declining the prompt, went back to english.

When you update/patch online, will the Japanese text still appear for offline single-player?
Do you need a code to obtain the Jap? or is it separate from the multiplayer access code that I think comes with the limited edition?

I suspect Little Big Planet 2 gets Jap online also, but I have no game or online to try it.

It should work offline. This update uses the standard PS3 patcher, not an option within the game.

There's no longer online multiplayer. Went down along with GameSpy.
But you can still download the extra maps for free, whatever their offline purpose is.
