I didn't like half life 1 as much as half life 2. I'd skip half life 1. Half life 2s story is way better plus the oXbox version looks a lot better than ps2. Or if you have a ps3/360, the get the orange box.
You have to play the first game just for the nostalgia.
I have never played any Sonic The Hedgehog game for more than 5-10 minutes, with the exception of the one on Game Gear that my brother used to have. Actually, since I've never owned a Sega system, there are a lot of Sega games I have never played, but Sonic is particularly bad because I actually have the PS2 Sonic collection.

Any of the Metroid Prime games,or any of the metroid games for that matter i already played through earthbound,one of the best in my opinion i played Castlevania 1 and 4 Shenmue games
