I don't really follow South Park much anymore. I was a huge fan once, but sort of got tired of it. A lot of those episodes don't hold up because they are too topical, and sometimes the show just comes across as too mean spirited, which I think it sometimes a problem with Family Guy too. When Furturama makes fun of stuff it is usually in a fun sort of way. It never feels like the show is out to tear someone a new one the way South Park often does.oxymoron wrote:I really hate south park. It gets on my nerves. Fg is more slapstick and Futurama is more satire.Gamerforlife wrote:What I like about Futurama is its consistency. With Family Guy, you can point to a bunch of brilliant episodes, and more than a handful of shitty ones. Futurama is almost always good. Even South Park has had its fair share of crap episodes
Plus, Futurama has boundaries. South Park has gone beyond offensive with some of their episodes, and Family Guy too at times.
Overall, I think Futurama is the classiest (relatively speaking of course) of the three shows. It's going to be the most timeless as the years go on and it's the most consistent. I will miss this show. It's far better even than its parent show The Simpsons ever was
