I have got to say, I cannot wait for it to be over with. 6 seasons was way too long. Only the first two were any good really but I have stuck with the damn show any how. It is the only television show I watch and I am ready to go back to watching none. I am excited to see how it ends though.

It's starting to seem like they're going to cram all the answers we want into the finale. It's interesting to note that it was originally suppossed to be two hours and then word came out that they were extending it to two and a half hours.

Fringe is getting interesting too now. Alternate universes have been done many times in sci fi(Lost is sort of doing that too with the alternate timeline)but it's interesting the way Fringe is handling it right now.

I have not seen any of Fringe. When I hear a show is like Lost I avoid it now. That is why I never watched Heroes.

The only real connection between Lost and Fringe is that J.J. Abrams was involved in the creation of both shows. Fringe is much less complicated than Lost. The story is easier to follow, answers are frequently provided for whatever questions the show comes up with and most episodes have stand alone stories that anybody can jump in and follow. Fringe was clearly intended to be more accessible than Lost. It's pretty much a modern version of the X-Files as far as I'm concerned

The Lost/Heroes comparisons were a joke since day one. Lost was always a better show. I pretty much knew Heroes had jumped the shark when I saw the season one finale, which really destroyed everything the show had accomplished throughout that season, but people were still going on and on about it and getting all excited for season 2. The hype machine during the show's first season really had everyone convinced this was going to be one of the greatest shows ever. Look at Heroes now. Ratings have plummetted, critically it doesn't do well and the only reason it's still on the air is the network's stubbornness to get rid of a show they invested so much in.

that would be 4 and a half hours, sir.
You're forgetting: this is LOST. Time could bend.

Did you guys read the interview in the latest issue of Wired? The producers say that the only answer they feel they owe at this point is how the two realities fit together and that a lot of stuff they are not going to try to answer. So basically there are no answers for most things. I don't really feel that everything needs to be answered but it would be nice.

I don't see a problem to cram the events in 2.5 hours, it will be a great 2.5 hours

I have a problem if they do not answer the questions.
If they don't, they should shoot whoever is responsible for this

Since episode one ALL the viewers were waiting for answers, after 6 years, and after many quit on the show because they were not getting any , you want to tell me that they won't answer all that weird stuff?
Smoke, Jacob's mom, others, time traveling, the light in the island, how did the airplane fell, how does jacob get his power, and travel between the island and the real world, whats with the visions on the island, how come Lock can walk only in the island, how did Saeed come back to life, who was the japanese guy in the temple, its endless....
they better answer it!

Otherwise I hope they suffer a stroke

Glad I quit the show after I realized they couldn't possibly have a good explanation for everything. That is a big cop out if they don't feel they "owe" any explanation. They dug the hole too deep and can't get out of it now. I would be furious if I had suffered through the full series.

Some of those examples have already been answered(others, airplane falling), and some have been mostly answered(time traveling, travel to/from island, visions). 99% of the rest should be addressed, but I wouldn't count on anything further on "Mother".
