i was in a band called harper's ferry arsenal that played a show on LI at some house with some bands, i totally don't remember who. contra, maybe? i dunno, maybe the band craig was in after contra. i just remember he was there and was singing, i think he set the show up also. LI is very cool. i had a friend (who turned out to be a total piece of shit, but whatever) who was from LI and moved to indy before heading for florida and always spoke highly of it.

back on topic, i'm in two bands right now, we just finished demos so as soon as i get mastered tracks online, i'll post some links.

It might have been the Hobo house or Ren's house because Contra was around a long time ago. I know Craig too (well, i know who he is. I'm not really friend's with him)! Anyway, I'd love to hear your stuff once you finish it.

pretty sure it was the hobo house, this was like in 2004 i think. i believe contra had already broken up by then so it wouldn't have been them. this thread is so fun.

aaron- I think the band you speak of with Craig of Contra singing was Fuck Cops. Especially if it was 2004 and the Hobo House, which ironically is where I have resided since 2004. Perhaps I have met you then? I didn't move in until the fall of 2004. Small world.

As far as my talents if you will. Like fvgazi said both he and I are in band called Yes Sensei. We have three full length albums (soon to be a fourth) and a 7 inch single out. Noisy post punk stuff like Sonic Youth, Unwound, Polvo, Fugazi, Minutemen, etc

dude, yes! it was definitely fuck cops. they ruled, total chokehold mosh, it was amazing. we played there in march of '04 so i guess you wouldn't have been living there, we may have met if you were at the show but that's it. the show was awesome, though, i remember the house being PACKED and we were just blown away by the response we got. especially since we had just spent 3 days snowed in up in boston playing with the refuseniks and just about no one cared. long island rules.

we should have finished demos real soon, i will post them as soon as i can. i'm in two bands, one is called Red Shadows (after the TSOL song ) that kinda sounds like Queens of the Stone Age playing Tragedy songs (though nowhere near as good). my main band is called What Lurks, we sound like Lifetime and Latterman having sex to post-John Samson Propagandhi.

I figure I'll mention this, because I'd like to do it more often but I haven't had the time lately. I've written a few short stories, though I've never managed to get anything published(admittedly I haven't tried very hard). I'd link one, but none are currently up on the Internet.
