Keep it civil folks. I would highly suggest not believing any of the tech specs until Nintendo releases something. People dig into these news articles but it is all bunk until Nintendo tells us whats what.

Exactly. They are holding their cards for TGS (as always).

I don't know if this has been stated yet, but wouldn't it be possible to play DS and 3DS games on your TV with the Wii U. Now that you will have two screens and a stylus whats stopping them.

That would be awesome if they had a DS Player for the Wii U.

It makes sense for Nintendo not to announce DS compatibility right now. They need to sell more 3DS's. They can announce it just before the Wii U comes out.

The DS is such an amazing system. I'm embarrassed to say, but I mostly ignored it. I have only played about 1 DS game (Mario Kart DS) and only recently started to buy some old games and hardware models. The Nintendo DS is perfect for someone like me who loves retro games. It's like playing Super Famicom again.

Pretty much my only complaint about the DS is being forced to play it on a handheld. I do plan on buying a LL model but being able to play DS games on the Wii U would be incredible. I'd buy a Wii U for that feature alone.

It should also make games not designed with 3D in mind somewhat easier to make multiplat for 3DS and Wii U. :|

I don't know about cost, but now they only have to come up with the gameplay mechanics once.

I wonder if the controller screen would make a "DS player" type add-on finally possible? Because of the inability to play the games on a home console, the DS never really got to me like the GBA did.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
