I'm also attempting to play FFVII, but it's going very slowly; I've played about the first hour of FFX, I'll probably leave that until I'm finished with FFXIII; and I'm playing Pokémon HeartGold.

This brings up a point to me. How does one go about playing multiple RPGs at the same time? If I'm playing one, I usually have to dedicate all of my time to it, or I'm simply not going to get anywhere in any of them. And even worse, I have a bad habit of glutting myself on one and then getting bored and quitting before I finish. So how do you guys handle it?

I'm with you on only playing one RPG at a time. But I usually don't get bored and leave it unfinished. Concentrating on that single game is what allows me to finish it personally. If I have too many games going at one time not just RPGs I lose interest in them and they get put on the back burner. I don't get playing all those games at the same time. It just seems like too much going on but that's just me. That being said FF XIII has me souring on it and I've been thinking about picking up and playing Grandia for the PS1.

Good luck with FF VII. I know some people think that it's some kind of gift from the RPG gods but when I played it I was unimpressed.

I tend to dabble in a lot of games, and I'll have just a few that I'm playing properly. So at the moment I've been playing quite a lot of FFXIII and all the other games I'm playing when I need a break from it, or when the boyfriend is using the Xbox 360. I tend to play FFVII and Pokémon more when I'm travelling as I have them on my PSP and DS respectively. This just works for me, and somehow I don't get my stories all mixed up, which I do do if, say, I'm reading more than one book at a time.

I just started playing Half Minute Hero for PSP. Genius game. I can literally spend 2 minutes playing and feel like I have really accomplished something.

Generally I'll have one RPG that's my main, and maybe a couple others that are fun but aren't as gripping. For example, I just finished a playthrough of Infinite Space where I was mostly playing that, and occationally switching to Romancing SaGa 3 or Sakura Wars. With Romancing SaGa the story presentation is not nearly as strong as I'm used to, so I'm not getting into it as much. With Sakura Wars the whole game is episodic, so I can play a chapter and do something else.

This game IS genius. I do have a bit of advice for you, though; there is no auto-save. I made the mistake of getting to the end of the game and turning it off, then finding out that I hadn't saved in several hours. I ended up just snagging someone else's save off GameFAQs at that point, as I didn't want to play through the whole thing again to get the unlockable music player.

Also, just wait until you fully beat the game. You unlock Hero 3, which gives you 3 seconds to beat the game. It's intense!

LOL...I found that one out pretty early on thankfully. Only about 6 or 7 episodes in when I switched it off only to find it hadn't saved. It was easy to blast back through those levels again. Funny how I used to hate auto save features only to find I now ASSUME they are there.

Yeah I always stick to one RPG (or longer game) at a time, and the usually will play a couple of shorter things at the same time. Like now I'm playing Rebelstar Tactical Command, but have also been playing a bit of Daedalean Opus here and there as well.

Just finished FFXIII. Wasn't that bad as many people make it out to be. Maybe I'm just not a hardcore RPG gamer.

My opinion on what people say is they went in to it with certain expectations due to it being a Final Fantasy game. When those expecations were violated they focused on that and docked it points. I, on the other hand, tend to be able to enjoy stuff in spite the flaws; I focus on the good rather than the bad.
