Yeah the ROM is already out and was easy enough to find. Guess it's time to beat Star Fox 2 again.Betagam7 wrote:Already happened. Rose Coloured Gaming has been tweeting about it and they've already put it on a cartridge that I'm sure won't soon be for sale for far more than the officially licenced SF2 game they recently mocked...
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

My Snes Mini was delivered on time from Very.co.uk.
That's stage 1 over with, now to fret over tracking websites while it makes its way to my home in Asia!

Arstechnica posted an interview with the lead programmer for Star Fox 2 earlier today, if anyone didn't catch it.
Re: SNES Classic coming September 29th
My Snes Mini Classic has made it to the mainland, it now just needs to find its way to my island and I should have it by next week...annoyingly, just as I begin an intensely busy period of work.
Quick question for those who know. With it being powered by a USB connector, I presume its safe to plug into any plug converter and it can't be fried by alternate voltage of another country like a regular console could.
Essentially, I can play my UK model in Asia without the need for stepdown converters etc? yes?

That's a good question to ask. Here's my understanding:Betagam7 wrote:My Snes Mini Classic has made it to the mainland, it now just needs to find its way to my island and I should have it by next week...annoyingly, just as I begin an intensely busy period of work.

USB should supply a standard 5 volts no matter where you are in the world. If you have an Asian "power brick" AC adapter with a USB socket, that should work fine. You can plug your European SNES mini into your "power brick" via any USB cable. That "power brick" converts AC power from your outlet into 5 volts DC power.
Come to think of it, you can use just about any powered USB port from a computer, or a powered USB hub, or even another video game console if you like.
Standard caveat: I am not a professional electrician, just a layman.
Re: SNES Classic coming September 29th
From a problem someone else had over on Talking Time, you'll want to use the adapter. If the USB source you use isn't supplying enough juice, the system will function, but apparently exhibits slowdown in Yoshi's Island.
Re: SNES Classic coming September 29th
Mine plugged into the USB port on my TV and draws the requisite power from that. I imagine you'll find that to be the case with any more recent TV with USB capabilities.
Re: SNES Classic coming September 29th
My birthday is coming up and my girlfriend picked one up for me, just walked into Target and there is stock.
Re: SNES Classic coming September 29th
Thanks for all the USB info guys. I guess the USB brick I use to charge my phone should work then. Interesting side note about Yoshi's Island.
I never considered drawing power from the TV itself. I guess that is an option though.
