R-Type on the sms was way ahead of its time.

It might not be the best port, but it is unique. Sometimes less is more, and I find that to be the case for the sms port. Something about it being a bit bare bones makes it creepier to me as it suits the game well.dsheinem wrote:How so? So does that mean that the SMS version of Sonic was ahead of its time even though it came out a few months after the Genesis version?

Yeah, I still have no idea what the hell you mean by "ahead of its time".
