I'd pick Herzog Zwei over both. But between Ogre and C&C, I favor the latter.noiseredux wrote:as far as the strategy debate: I'd pick Ogre Battle over C&C.

Older. Not wiser.

Just a clarification here: Ogre Battle is a combination of RTS and turn-based RPG. As when units collide, it turns into a turn-based RPG. However, for those groaning about "menu-based fighting", it's largely automated. You just sit back and watch characters slash or zap each other. Stats and placement determine what the characters do.alienjesus wrote:After looking it up, ogre battle is real time (I honestly didn't know this), so for me it's between that and Command and Conquer.

I'm kinda excited by Golden Axe Warrior - that's a very different game from the regular Golden Axe. What all is it on?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

That'd be a great compromise in the JRPG vs WRPG debate. It's a japanese game with the action of a western game. It's easy to emulate, right?noiseredux wrote:SMS, 360, PS3.Flake wrote:I'm kinda excited by Golden Axe Warrior - that's a very different game from the regular Golden Axe. What all is it on?

very easy to emulate. But we're using that for our Adventure month in lieu of a point-n-click, etc. It's not really RPG.

I think that we should have a poll to see which is more in demand.

Oh geez, 41 pages in a few days. There's no way I'm even skimming through all of this. I gave up a few pages in and its probably pointless for me to even weigh in at this point. But FWIW. Pinball - Dragon's Fury/Devil's Crush/Devil Crash.

Platformer still isn't decided; if you choose between Sparkster and Out of This World, that'd help. And RPG is also still in the air.Hobie-wan wrote:Oh geez, 41 pages in a few days.
