I really don't see this forum being a place for kids. Sorry to any younger people who use this website. I just don't see how you can have a valid discussion on retro games. You weren't around when these consoles were out. All you have is jaded opinion on old consoles. You weren't there when the atari 2600 was all most kids had. You weren't even born then. I don't think Ryan was even able to pick up a controller when the PSX first came out. Let alone know what he was doing. Gamers today are spoilt rotten. They didn't have to put up with games without save points, passwords, crummy graphics, shitty control systems and the extortionate price for games back then (remember when Saturn games were £54.99 each?! Don't get me started on the N64, £69.99 for launch games! Holy Hell!).

fyi, it takes 15 minutes max for first install then about 2 minutes for each other one, about the amount of time it takes to get your ass off the couch, take the disc out, put the disc in, and wait for it to load.

edit: also why would M$ announce that the 360 now has the capability to partial install games JUST LIKE THE PS3. Their has to be some demand for the feature or mabe M$ is just doing it to say "yea, we can do that too" (this is oddly starting to sound like the Genesis/SNES war)

First of all, mgs4 could even benefit from being on separate discs because it could cut out some of the horrid load times in between zones because the dvd drive is faster than the ps3's bluray. Secondly, it was about 5 minutes + each install after, something I would rather just sit up and replace a disc than watch snake smoke.

Lastly, the install is optional and full. You only need the disc to prove you own the games. It won't interrupt play and it isn't necessary.

Yes I am a Sony fanboy, ive said that before, nothing says you have to like my views and opinions. If I was really doing something harmful the moderaters would have done something about it already I gather. Now this topic was about how Square Enix just basicaly betrayed Sony and made FF13 multiplatform, I have already said what I believe, now if you people would stop bitching over my views and help get this topic back on track all will be well.

What!? Since when did bringing out a game for two platforms mean they're betraying Sony. The publisher doesn't give a shit about loyalty. Why would they, they release a game on two platforms they make more cash. It's that simple. It's just good business sense. Why the hell would you want to release a game on a platform that has sold the least systems. Why would you limit your revenue like that. Unless Sony subsidy your loss by giving you money to keep the game exclusive you're guaranteed to lose money on developing a title just for the PS3. Right now developing solely for the PS3 for a third party is not financially viable without Sony's backing. Face it. This generation isn't gonna be won on killer apps anymore. There's plenty of third party games that are multi-format that are getting great scores.

I don't see why you're complaining RyaN, it's still coming out on the PS3. It's not like they're taking it away from you.

Also we're not saying we don't have to take your views. We're saying that you seem to think that the only correct opinion is yourself. Thats the issue here. Not what you are saying, it's how you are saying it.

NOTE from LordOfDuct about my opinion on banning - I don't see any reason for banning a user for being a fanboy. I am a fanyboy of Sega, and I bet a lot of you are fanboys of something else.
