Been playing robo aleste on my Sega cd along with phelios and darius and silpheed as well.

Just ordered lords of thunder (segacd) and truxton as well.

Via emulation this week: musha-want to buy but its $$$, and eliminate down (same as the former times 10!) oh and twinkle tale also and trouble shooter

Its been a huge shmup week for me haha

Emulating sucks but these games are just to $$ buy

Mostly been playing Twinkle Tale this week, and i'm having a pretty hard time with it - things either seem to go pretty well and I get about 3-4 stages in, or disasterously wrong and I loose all my lives on the 1st or 2nd stage :p Also got in some Mushihime-sama again this week, out of all the Cave games i've played, I think it's the one i'm most likely to 1cc, but it's still going to take ages.

Good choices on the Sega CD titles. I love Robo Aleste. Do you have MUSHA? it's the first Aleste game on Genesis and it's damn good. Pricy though....even a loose cart is usually 30-50.

You wont be disapointed with Lords of Thunder....it's a great game. One gripe is that you can't turn the sound effects volume down...you're bullets are really loud and repetative.

Truxton is darn good too....very difficult after the first 2 levels. Don't expect anything fancy it's one of the first (if not thee first) genesis shmups released. It got cool enemies and interesting weapons, plus decent gameplay. I dig it.

its a toss up any day between dozens of shooters, but i mostly play Ikaruga and shikigami no shiro, allthough i've been playing a ton of gradius V lately. I have a lot of friends that play fighters with me but only one who plays shmups, and when i have friends over they usually pick the game to be played; he usually picks raiden III.

Old topic revival: I just ordered R-Type Delta. I hope it's really good, and worth the price.

And not too hard!!

Thats the game I've been looking for for quite a while. Had the last three auctions sniped from me at the last minute and just gave up. It's great. One of the best r-types, definately worth the money....unless you paid more that 50 bucks.

R-Type Delta's awesome, if you've got a PS3 you can download it from the JP PSN Store for a couple of bucks.

Anyways, i've mostly been playing Mushihime-sama this week, finally managed to get to stage 4 on 1 credit :) Also, i've been playing a lot of UndeadLine, but it's so difficult, it's really kicking my ass.

I've been playing Warning Forever nonstop. I can't get past the 13th stage, though.
