Go forth! To the Thrift Store!
I just found a Casio SK-1 at goodwill yesterday for 7 bucks. It's missing a key and a few are loose but everything works good, especially the sampling! I've been looking for one of these for years, and I am happy to add it to my casio collection. Now I've got an MT-100 for great chords and organ sound, a VL-Tone for spaced out sci-fi stuff, and the SK-1 for sampling. Any other casio enthusiasts here?

I have almost the same setup.. I have a SK-8 instead of the SK-1 but they are fun. And its funny you bring up the VL-Tone, my favorite patch on it is "Fantasy". Have fun with the SK-1.

The Fantasy patch run through a decent effects processor(i use a boss ME-50) with some reverb, delay and a harmoniquist gives it an amazing early moog or theremin sound. With the harmoniquist you can shift octaves give it a really smooth sound. You can add a bit of overdrive or you a compressor to shape it too. Kinda reminds me of Umma Gumma era Pink Floyd synths. definately my favorite keyboard ever. Crappy calculator though!

I'm sure no one is interested but this point but the Sega Saturn I got at the Thrift Store does indeed work! I finally got some cords and hooked it up and been playing one of my beloved stand by games Mechwarrior 2 on it!
I went there yesterday no games but they have some brand new HC books for a $1.69. I love that place!
