Man, I want that game so bad. It's just too damn expensive.
On the plus side, I just bought a brand new sealed copy of Ikaruga. I also downloaded it on my 360 via the live arcade. That way I won't have to open the Dreamcast one. I also bought a brand new copy of Jet Grind Radio since I borrowed it a long time ago but never bought it. It wasn't even 20 dollars. I thought that game would be expensive.

Is Jet Grind Radio a good game? I keep putting off on downloading it for some reason, yet I've gotten a bunch of other stuff (Dreamcast library is huuuugeee).

Alright, I have a model 2 I need modded but I've never soldered a thing in my life. Is a solder bridge the kind of thing that it's fairly easy to nuke the chip if I fuck it up?
Re: Who All Has A modded Saturn?
Soldering is not as easy as everyone around here makes it seem. I failed miserably when I tried soldering the modchip myself. Best to get someone who knows how to do it.

Re: Who All Has A modded Saturn?
Maybe I'm misunderstanding the installation process but it sounds like if I get someone to solder the bridge onto the chip separate from the console I can plug it in myself. Is that inaccurate? I mean, when described it sounds like a "solderless mod" that just needs to be soldered itself to complete.

LOL -- just start with the A+B method and just wedge to power cable in there.
You will want to solder eventually, but its a start
I never soldered it. I just made sure to insert the power wire into the PSU's pin holders first, then pressed the PSU down onto the power pins, so that the mod chip's wire was clamped tightly against the contacts. Never had an issue.
I came here in 2006 with region patch game burning problems after buying a model 2 round button saturn and a modchip. Made the simple install myself with the A+B method no solder it hasn't bothered me so far. Mostly it was been used in multiplayer games and shumps but so far I have not finished a single player game like panzer dragoon, nights, or an rpg but its one of my favorite consoles.
