Legacy of the Wizard = Challenging.
The Goonies II = I'll defer to other judges.
F-Zero X = Not really challenging, I beat it left right up and down in one day. F-Zero GX on the other hand...

Life Force is a good shmup for people who aren't fans of the genre. It is much better than Gradius. It also isn't that hard, but if you are new to the genre, it will be tough.

Adventure Island is tough, but mostly because it is so unnecessarily long and repetitive. The sequels are much better, but they are also a lot easier. (I actually need to finish up all of those games, and I may try to run the series - along with the Wonder Boy and Monster World series - at some point.)

I'm not sure I'd consider myself "new" to the genre, but it's definitely outside my wheelhouse.

I know of the ones mentioned in here, I've beaten The Guardian Legend and Lords of Thunder.

Ha. I remember him. He destroyed me in Quake 3 one time. Had no idea who he was until I looked it up later after people started complaining.

I stand corrected. You are correct Fatal1ty played Quake mostly, but he was the best player in the world in UT2k3 (the one year it was a CPL tournament). Shogun and Astro were his main training partners, but through chance I ended up a regular on a private server he trained on. But that was a long long time ago, I doubt he would even remember me.

He has had his name plastered on gaming oriented PC parts since like the early 2000s...I think ASRock is using it these days.


As for the challenge, I may participate, not sure. I tend not to be great at aligning what I feel like playing at the time with particular forum challenges/Together playthroughs.

I was unfamiliar with his post-Quake career. I mostly heard of him in association with Quake, and because of that was amused to see his handle still attached to gamer-focused PC hardware. I had some Fatal1ty RAM in my PC a couple builds ago.

That is indeed the hardest part.

Hell, I have that problem even without the challenge structure.
