My condolences to Rey's family and friends. I haven't had many interactions beyond small talk about shmups, but he was an integral part of our community and will surely be missed. This is has been a rough year with the passing of Breetai, Snowy Kitty, and some friends of mine. All left us way too young, but remind us of just how great life can be and how we can take small things for granted.

R.I.P. Snowkitty, I hardly knew ye.
The fact that he's only a year older than me makes it even worse.

rest in peace, Rey...

he was one of the first forum members i talked to outside of the forum (on instant messenger) and we often traded things to each other. in fact, i think we started talking because i traded him a super famicom for a sega CDX.
once in a while we would talk about random non-game stuff, and he got me into underground gamer by sending an invite at the end of 2006, if i remember correctly. i was surprised to hear he moved out to the east coast a while back, apparently because of his father's job transfer.

we'll miss ya buddy.

Here's the obituary:

and a link to the funeral home website for him, which has pictures and other things:

I see 707 already posted, might be nice for some other folks to do so also.

Edit: I Missed that aaron already posted these. Oh well.

That's not an obituary, that is a disgrace.

RIP. He was a good person and fun to talk to on the IRC.
