What beer does "everyone" drink where you live?

The difference is that it wasn't nearly as common for prosecutors, colleges, and employers to profile people based on their web presence. I know you'll do whatever you want, so it's just a friendly warning.oxymoron wrote:come on, you didn't party in high school?

(Mostly) good thread guys. Just a reminder, I'm not asking "what kind of beer do you like," I'm asking what the popular regional preference is.
Also, some of you guys said what was popular where you live, but didn't say where you live and your profiles don't tell us that so it doesn't fill me in. Haha.
@Bone: Shipyard is def somewhat popular down here in MA as well. Though I'd say it's popular like you'll often see it on tap (especially the pumpkin in Autumn) though not really something I see people buy for the home as much.

On the flipside (and I can't believe I forgot to mention this the first time) Sam Adams beer is very popular in Maine.noiseredux wrote: @Bone: Shipyard is def somewhat popular down here in MA as well. Derp. I also forgot about Rolling Rock, the brewery is in Latrobe.

Rolling Rock is brewed all over the place now isn't it? After they were acquired I could have sworn they started brewing at different locations.foxhound1022 wrote:Derp. I also forgot about Rolling Rock, the brewery is in Latrobe.
I forgot one. Eastern North Carolina has a huge Mexican/Hispanic population. Tecate in a can or Dos Equis in a bottle is the beer of choice for that demo it seems. I have a few friends from Central America who also adore the same and consider Corona to be "piss water". I enjoy a Corona on a hot day on the patio, but I see their point as Corona doesn't have much flavor.
The same guys never use limes or lemons, but they pepper salt in their beer after every sip.
Sprinkle salt, drink, repeat. Any night out with them I know to ask for extra salt shakers.

Yeah, it was originally made by the Latrobe Brewing Co., but then was sold to Anheuser-Busch about 5 years or more ago, I think.
So it probably is made in multiple locations now.

noise, is the purpose of this thread to prepare for your upcoming "Ultimate Hipster World Tour"? I guess you don't want to be caught enjoying a popular beer wherever you might go...
I await your forthcoming threads "What are some local bands you like to listen to?" and "Tell me about your area thrift stores!"
