Maybe it's those pre-rendered backgrounds.

I think Conker's Bad Fur Day looks pretty fantastic.

I was kind of impressed too when I looked up videos, I had absolutely no idea the N64 game included the CGI cutscenes, and the music sounds practically exactly the same.

But yeah speaking of the note above, I definitely think games with pre-rendered backgrounds age pretty well, a bit better than full 3D polygon games. So even if the N64 was a bit more powerful than the PSX, I'd say a lot of PSX games have aged better than N64 stuff.

I know when you use pre-rendered backgrounds its like cheating , but I do not mind it personally if you do not feel its there. I bet all other games use multiple tricks and cheats to bring the best out of any system we just do not see them as well as the pre-rendered backgrounds. If it looks good then it looks good, and I do agree that BFD looks good too.

@Xeogred

Everytime someone says N64 is more powrful than PSX I have hard time believing it. The bigger badder games were always on the psx like MGS , REs , Final Fantasy, Tekken, Tomb Raider. N64 always had the cuter look of over-blown objects and extra blurry textures .

It's not cheating at all. Nearly every game ever made uses tricks and workarounds to look and play better.

I heard people before complain about this that it does not count . personally when its 2D like broken sword I feel its cheating , because its almost a picture but when its 3D like RE I am ok with it

So I am back at playing this game . I just want to know does it matter if I play on "Normal" or "Easy" mode?

note this is the gamecube version . I playing Leon A and finding gameplay a bit too difficult due to the amount of zombies and low amount of bullets, Or I can use the unlimited Ammo cheat!

How is that i never had ammo problems in this game :?

Anyway, if you start a game on easy you start with a machine gun with unlimited ammo then in the police station inside any of the chests you will find a infinite rocket launcher. I assume you can't unlock the special weapons or the extra modes or the extra survivor (Hunk) on easy but i think you have access to a lot of special weapons with infinite ammo.

That's right, on Easy you can't unlock the special weapons, alternate costumes, or the extra survivor modes.

There is actually plenty of ammunition on Normal to get through quite easily, but it's all hidden, and it's certainly not enough to kill everything that moves. I would suggest trying to get through to the police station while spending as few bullets as possible (you have to spend a couple on the bus if you don't want to lose health to the crawling zombie). Beyond that, there's ammunition available in the gun store, ammunition hidden in the back of a van, and ammunition hidden in a trash can along the way. At least, that's all I remember off the top of my head.

Playing a game like RE with infinite ammo and easy enemies kinda defeats the whole point. No stress, no dreading walking into the next room or hallway because you aren't sure you'll be able to survive against the monsters, just clumsily walking through hallways and putting jewels into statues.
