That was at a friends' place. Didn't try to transfer the save to my PS3 either. I think I will go more for stealth when I start over.

Got the 360 version in my gamefly queue, playing Sleeping Dogs until they have a copy to ship to me
Any notable differences between the 360/ps 3 versions? I know the PC version is better, that goes without saying. I rarely play anything on PC though.

Everything I've seen said they're the same. Arkane is apparently smooth enough to actually make games even across all platforms, unlike a certain company they are close to now. *COUGH* Bethesda *COUGH*Gamerforlife wrote:Got the 360 version in my gamefly queue, playing Sleeping Dogs until they have a copy to ship to me

Re: Dishonored
The edge article points out what I found odd about the game. Having all these awesome tools of death and assasination and punishing players for using them. It's an interesting approach. One that I'm a bit resistant too, since I'm used to games like the Tenchu series and Mark of the Ninja making if fun to kill people. I respect them for being different though and I'm curious enough to see if I will still enjoy the game with what is typically the most fun aspect of these games for me kind of taken out of the equation.Pulsar_t wrote:http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digit ... d-face-off << All you need to know (and more) to make a purchasing decision.

Mark of the Ninja played around with this. There was an achievement for going through a level without killing anyone and every stage gives you a point deduction for killing people. However, Mark of the Ninja just seemed to want you to kill. The opening, tutorial stage forced you to kill someone and the game kept doling out awesome new methods of murder like a swarm of flesh eating bugs and a poisoned dart that will make a guy blow his own brains out. Your ninja sidekick would point out in some situations non lethal approaches you could take, but would mention them in a way that just made it seem like it would be odd and out of character for you to go non violent
Incidentally, Mark of the Ninja recently came out on Steam. So between that and Dishonored there's a lot of fun stealth gameplay to be had for the PC crowd

Still haven't played the game, don't want to discuss it because of possible spoilers, though I don't imagine the story to be that exciting or original.

Re: Dishonored
Been playing a good bit lately myself, it's pretty solid. It does feel a bit oddly conflicted as others have said though, giving you all this stuff... but nudging you to be stealthy. The game plainly points out the difference between it and something like Thief during the early bits though, you become an "assassin"... haha. I thought that summed it up. In Thief, you're just a fragile Garrett with next to no weapons whatsoever just stealing stuff and trying to survive, hardly an assassin or anything of the like.
This is my kind of FPS though, mission/level based but with a lot of flexibility. It just does really feel odd at times though. I thought I was more excited about this than Bioshock Infinite, but now I think I know I'll dig Infinite more.
Anyways, great stuff either way.
How would you guys say it stacks up to Arx Fatalis? I'll probably like that one more myself.

Okay now I'm done and got a good ending.. Good thing I only rented it, have no urge to replay it. A nice distraction if anything; the game simply felt too familiar.
