hipster vs retro games. What's the differance?

I was at fye in the mall and I found a nes wallet saying"hipster wallet" go retro nes style.

I have a wallet that's shaped like a NES controller I got from Gamestop a few years ago. It dosen't say hipster on it, but it does have a chain attached to beat people with when they accuse me of being a hipster.

Heh. I don't even believe that "hipsters" exist. It's just being used as a derogatory term, much like "emo" used to be, to make people feel better than others.

I honestly don't give a shit "what" anybody "is", but for the record, there are people who actually label themselves as "emo", "scene", "retro" and what have you.

Yeah, hipster is a derogatory term, in the sense that it's being used in this thread, but it's a word that's a heck of a lot easier to say than "that guy who's kind of annoying to me because he pretends to like something that I'm genuinely interested just because it's the cool thing to do now".

Just wanted to clarify, I'm not condoning the use of these terms, and again, I don't really care about labels. I try not to stereotype people, I just hate them all equally.

Apologies, I removed the quote. It was used to respond to noise's reply that I had a similar thought a couple pages prior. I'm did not mean to tell Mods how to do their jobs, its just my opinion of this thread.
