Which reminds me CRT, did 7800 have a 2600 adapter as well? Oh no wait, 7800 plays 2600 games out of the box doesn't it? Did the 7800 have a 5200 adapter?

No 5200 adapter for the 7800, but great compatibility to 2600 games that directly plug in. The original 2600 consoles have a better more solid cart connecter. The 5200 though older also has the better Pokey Sound Chip, the games sound true to the Arcade versions.

VCS rules you guys.
You won't see that from me. I was playing 2600 all throughout the 80s and got the 7800 in 1988 when the NES was *the* console to have. Didn't get that till Christmas 1989 so you better believe I will always return to the Atari when I have roughly 80 games for it

It would support it, but that is more of a paddle spinner. It just simulates the left and right dpad movements. It has no fine control.

If you have a cut-off point you'll miss some great gaming adventures.

Drivel might be the word your looking for, unless you are trying to insult BurningDoom's basketball skills.

I'll give anything a shot, but don't necessarily seek out anything pre-NES. I'm perfectly content with playing anything older on some sort of compilation.

As a kid, I played a lot of Colecovision with my cousin, and bet I could still have some fun with Donkey Kong, Smurfs, or that cat & mouse game. It's just not something I have my eye on at the moment.

I can play arcade games and Nes games just fine but I find it really hard to play PS1 and N64 3D games.
