I've been gaming a long time. Back in the Genesis/SNES days the games were regularly $30-$40. MSRP is complete shit for trying to figure out the worth of an item. "Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price", You can make anything and suggest its worth a lot more, just ask the portablizers.Breetai wrote: When were new games $30 each? Maybe back in the 2600/Colecovision/Intellivision days, but even then I'm pretty sure games were often $39.99 or $49.99. Consider inflation, and games are actually cheaper now.
Air Zonk is an amazing game, but I was under the impression that although the GPU was 16 bits, the Primary CPU was 8 bits.Breetai wrote: 16-bit graphics chip in the Turbo. It lives up to it's name.
Air Zonk rocks and does have some nice graphics for sure.
Yes.Breetai wrote: I take it you're a BIT of a Raiden fan?
True enough. The CPU clock speed is way more powerful on the ps3 meaning it can process a lot more MIPS. It was kind of a superfluous argument back in those days anyways. I still play a lot of my old school systems and I think that a lot of the games are still fun to play. Most of those games were amazing for the time, but then you always had to have that one who said, "yeah, buts only an x bit..."Breetai wrote: If we are talking bits, the main processor in the PS3 is primarily 32-bit. The Intellivision is 16-bit. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
