Wow, that is the first time I've seen someone (that doesn't hate video games in general) not like that game.
I find not liking 3 surprising. I don't like the first two very much though. Great for the time yes, but now they're pretty plain and unexciting.

Collect-a-thon platformers, Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64 (Getting to where I can't stand it), and their might be others. Just got tooo overhyped.

Disliking something simply because of excessive hype, the fanbase, etc (pretty much anything that ISN'T the game itself) is incredibly silly to me.

I dislike people that dislike other people that dislike a game because it is over-liked.

Well I never said anything about disliking a
person over it.

I dislike the idea that people can dislike people based on what other people dislike.

I'm not saying I don't like those games because they were overrated, it's because the overating made me expect so much more from them.

I'm glad 3 added some special moves to the mix, but after playing actual GOOD beat 'em ups like Battle Circuit, SoR2, Guardian Heroes, etc., I can't go back to Final Fight 1 and 2. Too basic for me.
Oh man, I gotta agree with you on this one. Earthbound is a holy grail among some people apparently, I've gotten into some hilariously lame arguments with friends by just simply saying "I don't like it", they get so offended like I just literally pooped in their food or something. I even tried rewatching a bunch of videos on youtube recently, and just absolutely nothing about it looks appealing to me. lol
Funny enough Ness was one of my favorite characters in some of the Smash Bros games.
I dig the original Final Fight (non-SNES versions are definitely nicer, Guy rocks), but I totally agree on that note too. I'd take NES beat em' ups over it like TMNT 2-3, Battletoads, etc. Final Fight was just super clunky in comparison, I don't even bother comparing that series to Streets of Rage in my mind.

This game sux

Sword of berzerk - this game is okayish but gets tons of praise. It's just sort of a clunky beat em up without 2 player.
F-zero - it's like mario kart without the stuff in it
