Definitely my favorite fishing mini-game. Loved it.

looks like Reel Fishing got some horrible reviews, but Natsume's third attempt at the series on PS2 has pretty great reviews.

Can't say I care too much for either actual fishing games or mini-fishing games, even those found in Fable or Breath of Fire III etc... I found them more a chore than anything fun. I guess it's ok to go fishing in order to get the player food for health, but so many games are so intent on making key items found in ponds/lakes. I guess I buck the trend when I say that I just find them silly and boring and not at all fun.

Vaguely. Was it a lot like the fishing mini-game for Breath of Fire II?

Never played Breath of Fire II. I snapped a quick Zelda screenshot, though.

I don't really play fishing games, but I must say that Grand Mer looks hilariously awesome.

Yeah. There was also a Reel Fishing game on the Dreamcast that received good reviews.

I know there is a newer one on the Wii called Reel Fishing: Angler's Dream, too. Don't know if it received decent reviews or not but I've seen it at K-Mart for cheap... like $15?

There was a fishing mini-game in Zelda Twilight Princess that I really enjoyed. It was just relaxing and had a nice, sort of ambiance to it. Especially when it would start raining
