Hey! Dungeon Keeper finally got hard! Mission 10 is the point where you need to have a real game plan to start and stick to; you don't just get the opportunity to build up a dungeon in piece. Mission 10 you need to get built up quickly so that you can cut off the enemy from gold and out train his monsters. Then Mission 11 ends up being a gimmick level where you start off with a full dungeon with no room to expand and you just need to toss everyone in the training hall right away, quickly get your imps to a couple of raise level spells and outlast several waves of heroes.

Is this the first Dungeon Keeper or the second you are playing?

Have you gotten to the point where you just knock out all of the walls separating rooms to maximize space?

No, I still like to keep the walls up. Though level 10 has no walls available.

In the later levels you'll probably want to go about removing them. It lets all of your critters have a shorter route to any heroes who enter your lair. Just leave up the walls around your dungeon heart to give it some cover and give you opportunities to bottleneck. And I don't remember if the first Dungeon Keeper allows you to possess units or if that is only the second one, but if you can, it'll let you jump into the fray.

Yeah, the first has possession but I haven't used it so far. I wasn't a fan of the mechanic in Urban Assault; when I'm RTSing I want to be at a high level.

I preferred using it for fine work(such as making sure specific imps do specific jobs quickly) or for first responders so they have a fighting chance(such as an imp that stumbles across a hero). Take a few minutes to hop in an imp and harass a hero to do as much damage as you can while your base continues to generate gold, monsters, and magic for a minute or two. It's sometimes the best way to interdict before they get into your dungeon proper.

Warcraft 1 for DOS. I previously played Dune II. I think I'm a huge fan of RTS; these games are incredibly addicting. :o

Wow, how are you playing it? I thought that one was nigh unplayable nowadays due to processor speeds.
