Cuz if it is true then ima buy me some metal slug on Wii lol! Strange that it supports GCN controls but not classic control... and even more strange as that makes SamSho athology the only SNK compilation on Wii that does not support GCN controls. Now that REALLY sucks!!!

I can confirm its true, I have the game on Wii and only ever use my Gamecube controllers to play. I've also heard that the PS2 version can suffer from slowdown more often than the wii anthology, so you might even consider it the better version (dependant on your opinion on the Gamecube controller of course).

Keep away from Wii Metal Slug Antho.. the game only supports motion controls and that's it! Stick with PS2 version.

KOF Orochi Collection is a tough one... definately keep away from PSP port unless ur ok with laggy controls, delayed audio (just awful) and major load times. I'd say the Wii version takes the win but just barely! Super quick loading, Supports 480p via component, supports all Wii controller alternatives (even though it doesn't indicate on the box that it supports GCN controls) and dev TA fixed all known PS2 version bugs! Although a few Wii bugs materialized. The biggest issues is not being able to use EX characters in training mode in KOF 98 o_0 I want to use Orochi CYS team in training Dammit! Oh! And flasheses and and white backgrounds for all the games in the collection have been altered and or removed (due to Nintendos stupid seziure standards shit!)

If your PS2 can play imports then I recommend Neo geo Online KOF Orochi collection from JPN. Sure, you lose 94 and 98 but the games left are arcade perfect! :D
Thanks for the info, sir.

Hmm, I had read the PS2 version was superior to the Wii port. Granted I think I just read all the neo geo compilation reviews on IGN - but SNK Vol 1 on the Wii was the only port better than the ps2.

That might be because of the d-pad?

In my opinion - definitely.

Can you use classic controllers? The reason I ask is because I bought Shock Troopers on PSN but I cannot play multiplayer due to only owning a single controller.

I have multiple classic controllers and this collection is cheaper than another ps3 controller and I'd be getting more bang for the buck because there are a lot of other titles to play.

I use the classic controller exclusively. You need to go into the options (in the game) and set it as the default and you're good to go.
