I will repeat my earlier statement. The basic controls are the SAME. It's the camera angles that are different.

Hate on the camera. The controls are fine.

I'm pretty surprised at the prices I'm seeing for RE2-RE3 GC on amazon right now, normally I only saw them for $30+ and up and never thought that was totally worth it when they're just straight ports. But those current prices aren't bad at all. Anyone know if they're single discs?
2 and 3 are both single discs. I got both of mine pretty cheap too.

I fainted when I saw the price for the GC port of Code Veronica though. I couldn't believe it was that expensive, especially since the ps2 and DC ones are so cheap.
Hah, not to mention I'm pretty sure the PS2 version is the only one with all the extras, and it's easy to find real cheap last I remember.

I should really get this, what are differences in PS2 Code Veronica?

On a semi-related, what are the add ons to PS2 Silent Hill Greatest Hits?

Code: Veronica X includes updated and new cut scenes spliced into the main game along with mild graphical changes.

I can't think of anything specifically, but yeah it just sounds like a more polished version.

Looks like I should correct myself above though, it seems Veronica X was released for the DC in Japan, PS2 worldwide, and then supposedly that's the version that was ported to the GC. So I guess all the US versions are probably the same no matter the console, assuming it's the Veronica X release.

Not sure about what's added to the PS2 Code Veronica, as it's the only version I've played.

The PS2 Greatest Hits version of SH2 includes the extra features from the XBox port. They added a section where Maria is playable (it serves as a prologue to her storyline) and an extra ending. As far as I know that's all that's different.

I think I'm the only person who's never had an issue with fixed camera tank controls.

Don't worry. You aren't alone in the world. I've never seen what the big deal is, either.

I can deal with them but hate stopping, turning then moving again. I posted this a while back:

Hey, I'm walking here! Only I have to stop to change directions ............

Here's a fix I discovered on these older games, I do this on another PS1 "Tank Control" game (LBA) Little Big Adventure. The first edition Interact Barracuda and Sony DUAL ANALOG controllers sticks function same as the direction pad. I hold up to move forward on the direction pad, at the same time turn with either stick. This actually works pretty well.
This only works on the non Analog games though.

Pressing up on the thumbstick and seeing your character walk towards you (the camera) is unforgivable.

I hope nobody ever gives you a remote control car for your birthday.
