So let me get this straight:

While your sick younger sibling is struggling, and your mom is running out of money ("she doesn't always have the money to get these things"), you are buying yourself Blurays and $200 video games.

I'm assuming by that he meant she didn't have enough money for the DS and Wii games.

Yeah that totally justifies outright theft.

I have the solution, sell something of hers. When she asks where it went say your younger brother who is sick needed a new controller.

I agree with you but many people actually think it does. It's not uncommon for people to think you should pay more just because you have more money. Hell, look at income tax. The more you make, the more you pay! It's completely unfair and makes no sense.

Speaking of mothers and money, I have another story. I let my mother borrow $5k and we agreed on a date for her to pay me back. She didn't pay me back, at all. She didn't even give me a little bit. Long story short, I have a signed written contract with her for this so I do have the ability to sue her. I seriously may end up having to do it. Yeah, she is my mother but she has always been a very selfish and irresponsible person who doesn't respect me.

Wait a second, where did you pull that from? I see NO indication in his posts that his mom is pawning stuff because of medical bills.
Yeah, it seems like a really odd and inappropriate place to be soliciting a political agenda.
Just to clear things up' medical bills have nothing to do with it because she gets SSI checks to cover those things. But something I didn't think was allowed (mabey you guys do) she has been spending this money to buy him things as well (that's where the Wii came from).

PS. I went to the shop she sold Action 52 too and it was gone, but I did find out something that really upset me, she sold it to them for $50, a game that cost me $200.

Why is it his responsibility to take care of his mom? He is the dependent, not her.

When you grow up and make it big, and your old mother comes crawling to you for financial help, don't give her anything. Pay back is a bitch and so is she.

Yea this is why I never let my family near my collection. Luckily my mom knows NOTHING about the topic.

Seriously, the purpose of a parental figure is to enforce the ideal that one earns a living by reaping the benefits of a hard day's work. You worked for that money, you bought that item, she had no right/reason to sell it without your consent.

When I was younger, my parents would give me allowance, and get angry at me if I spent it unwisely. Fast forward a few years, I worked for money, spent it unwisely, my parents said nothing about it aside from 'it's your money'. Fast forward a week, and my car is stuck at work in the parking lot with a empty tank of gas. I asked my parents for gas money, and they just replied 'you spent your money unwisely.' Shit, that taught a lot to me, despite the fact that I was mad as hell and had to walk home.

What sense does it make for her to sell your stuff without warning? What does it teach you? Goddamn, this entire topic makes me rack my brain in saying 'What was she thinking?'
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?
