I've been playing Fighting Vipers on Saturn atm, cuz of PEPSIMAN!!!!!

I can see why 3D fighter games are more popular, considering they are ten times easier than 2D ones. I suck at fighters, but I've just button mashed my way through all the modes. Lol, mebe Virtua Fighter 2 has a bit more depth...

another vote for Soul Edge on PS1. I remember doing some serious damage on the Sould Blade arcade as Taki as well 8)

Anyone here like Last Bronx? I thought it was actually a decent game, but Soul Edge won out on graphics and so it didn't have a chance.

Virtua Fighter 2. Makes all other 3D beat 'em ups look as shallow as... a shallow pool.

I've played the latest Tekken and Soul Caliber ect.. Then I pick up VF2 and it's gameplay completely wipes the floor with the others! There's so much more depth, there's no button bashing, no stupid projectile moves and no annoying characters (well except Wolf. Grr, sometimes I'd just like to - ahem). Anyway, awesome game. I've ordered VF1, Remix + Portrait and Kids of eBay.

VF:5 Ver. C is where its at. Best 3D fighter yet. They added so many moves between version b and c its silly. Balancing is awesome now that Jacky is toned down.

I'd have to go with either Soul Calibur 1 or 2 (I didn't like 3 nearly as much), DOA3 and Tekken 3.
I don't really play many 3D fighters, but these are my faves. i'm more into 2D games generally.

Soul Caliber is great, I really like the story mode! But it is a button masher, I've seen a 6 year old kid wipe out a line people back in the day at the arcade. You just can't do that on Dead or Alive, and I like 2 a little more because the backrounds are so interactive. All the counters and throw combos add alot of depth.

For multilplayer Powerstone is the most fun, but you gotta have 3 friends over to really enjoy it. And no one has time to play games toghether anymore.

It's either Soul Calibur 2, or Project Justice. Unfortunately, I'm more of a 2D fighter fan, so my decision would be irrelevant.
