Re: The Walking Dead tv series
It's hard to know what they're going to do in the show, because they just brought in Tyreese and for those of you who've already read past the Woodbury arc in the comic you'd know that
So many different variables between the comic and the show.

This is the most grating difference between the TV series and the comics for me. She is an irrational nutcase and easily the most annoying character in the show. Her and The Gov are the only characters I wish death upon in the TV series. Merl is a dick but the hilarity of the character makes for an entertaining dynamic.Gamerforlife wrote:Hate Andrea though. She's so dumb on this show, but she is one of my favorite characters in the comic book. Her TV counterpart is nothing like the comic book version of her at all. Oh well

You guys don't like comic book women on television showing off skin?brunoafh wrote:This is the most grating difference between the TV series and the comics for me. Re: The Walking Dead tv series
It's nice seeing Andrea's half naked body, until you remember that it's attached to that ugly face. Honestly, the only cute girls on the show are Herschel's daughters. Some good DNA in that family. Lauren Cohen is one of the most beautiful women on TV. I've seen her on Supernatural, Chuck, and now The Walking Dead and she ALWAYS looks hot. The other girls...not so much. Lori, Carol, Andrea, all "meh", and Michonne just looks too manly. Glenn is one lucky SOB. Not only does he have a girl in the post apocalypse, an accomplishment in itself, but a hot one. Though I'm looking forward to seeing who gets cast as Rosita if they bring her on the show. She was quite the looker in the comic.Luke wrote:You guys don't like comic book women on television showing off skin?brunoafh wrote:This is the most grating difference between the TV series and the comics for me. On another note, I was listening to a Walking Dead podcast while working today, and they made some funny points. They mentioned how odd it is that they keep cycling through token black dudes. First TDog dies, then some big black prisoner dude shows up for like two episodes and dies, now we got Tyreese. They also pointed out the hilarity of Michonne using a zombie as a hostage and the governor's reaction. He's like, "Okay, okay, chill out, be cool."

It's impossible to not notice the token black guy thing.
But it's interesting that they've introduced Tyreese in the TV series at about the time he died in the comics.
So will he be killed off quickly or stick around for a long time? Maybe Kirkman regrets killing him off in the comics and wants to keep him around in the TV series for a long time. We'll see

Dude! Spoilers!ZenErik wrote:It's impossible to not notice the token black guy thing.
Not that if affects me, but I was trying not to mention that for the benefit of non comic book readers. It's a pretty big moment in the book

As a general rule I'm against characters that induce rage. She can show all the skin she wants, her stupidity overrides that completely.Luke wrote:You guys don't like comic book women on television showing off skin?

Funny things I've heard people say about Andrea:brunoafh wrote:As a general rule I'm against characters that induce rage. She can show all the skin she wants, her stupidity overrides that completely.Luke wrote:You guys don't like comic book women on television showing off skin?
There she goes again, dropping a trusted friend she's known for a long time for a new person who will likely be revealed to be crazy
Does Andrea ever think with her brain instead of her (insert vulgar word for female genitalia here)?
Andrea always picks the wrong leader doesn't she?
Watch out when Andrea starts shooting, she's likely to almost kill someone in Rick's group (First there was Darryl, then we saw her shooting at Rick's group in the smoke last Sunday)

Re: The Walking Dead tv series
What I really have a problem with, is where they decided; "let's randomly make this character completely different from the comic's character in every way, for no reason." Just makes no sense to me.
edit: Oh, and yeah, reading the comics still and up to volume 21. It definitely gets far more brutal and, now I prefer TV Michonne far more, and detest TV Andrea just as much.
