Let's stick with these writers as long as possible.

Some plot issues are a bit side stepped, but in a great way. Zero complaints from me.

^ I agree. The writing this season is much better.

My only complaint with this episode was:
Why, oh why, didn't Michonne stab that fool when she had the chance? What was the point of trying to strangle him with the sword instead? Was cutting his head off that important?Stab him and be done with it, damn it.

Awesome seeing a major character from the comics being debuted tonight. I didn't expect that, and he's being played by that cool dude from The Wire no less. He popped up on the last season of Burn Notice too, nice to see the dude getting some cool TV roles.

I think I was wrong. This arc may go in the same direction as the comic, but with some cool new twists and turns. I officially like TV Michone now. Hate Andrea though. She's so dumb on this show, but she is one of my favorite characters in the comic book. Her TV counterpart is nothing like the comic book version of her at all. Oh well

Something that occurred to me while watching

We often see characters wanting to leave someone behind when that person is bit. The rationale is that the person will just become a zombie anyway and attack them, or that carrying that person slows everyone down. To me though, you don't leave someone behind whether they are bit or not. Killing that person yourself before they turn is kinder and more merciful than leaving that person behind to be eaten alive and ripped to shreds by zombies. I'd punch someone in the face for suggesting that we leave someone behind for the zombies just because they got bitten. No one gets left behind, unless it's a dipshit like that cabin guy from last week's episode. Fuck him.

The second I saw tyreese, I knew our other big black guy was going to die tonight.

And that bit about Carol being a Lesbian was awesome.

I couldn't figure out why the Gov thought Merle
was a traitor... until I realized that Merle had earlier told him that Michonne was dead.

I guess a "dead" person who isn't a zombie, would change your perspective a little.

I literally lol'ed when he said that. Then I lol'ed again when Col. Sander's cousin went from being uninterested to, "So, how you doin?"

On the one hand, Merle deserves it for being a horrible human being. On the other hand, I have a feeling the Gov. would have just picked someone else as a scapegoat even if Merle didn't exist.

So...

Will Merle defect? The gov has every right to be suspicious as the woman who "killed" his daughter and removed one of his eyeballs was supposed to be killed by Merle himself. No way Rick and Co. would accept Merle right? Or would they?

I think we can all agree I can be hypercritical of television shows and movies, but I can't express on how pleased I am with this season of TWD. It is a legitimately intelligent show that has turned the corner in one season. You have to appreciate the fact that the creative team veered the show from boring to must see. I can't think of another show that went from "meh" to "wow" in a snap.

there's also a chance that Merle is still working for the Gov and they're just going to use Daryl as a means to infiltrate the prison crew. The way they didn't show the Gov confronting Merle about Michonne could have been done for immediate suspense but also as a "gun in the drawer."

It was weird to realize we've never actually seen the brothers together, besides the hallucination episode.

I can't imagine Merle joining Rick's crew. So something has got to happen. Either he's actually a spy getting his last chance from the Gov.

...Like how Martinez was a spy in the comics..

Or he's going to die soon. Well, he may die soon either way. I just can't picture him being allowed in the main group.
