Yep. I saw that. I wrote that stuff out to kinda help the dude out by explaining his intentions. My wording could have been a bit better so I admit fault on that.

Nah it seems his main reason was that it was $400 and he isnt a moron, which is very vague. Not sure what he would do with the receipt if he didn't like something. He then said plus he was thinking of starting an online store, but that was an after thought or a secondary reason. So my comment was saying I didn't get the the main purpose of the receipt.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I took roughly a 2 month break from gaming & my intense movie backlog.
I was on forums very moderately during this and even avoided YouTube gaming content.
I read a few books, watched Nat Geo & Travel Channel TV occasionally & focused on family. I had several home/life projects going on including buying a family SUV (shared Tahoe pics here), selling a car, & converting a breakfast nook into a mud room.
I also had multiple big work projects in process throughout that were draining so the extra sleep was nice
.
[Edit: wow... after re-reading that... I'm old!]
Essentially... Smile because I'm back. Definitely a head clearing experience. One of those absence makes the heart grow fonder experiences. Happy to be back discussing games, movies, & more with you all.
Trying to decide what to dive into first. I'm in a bit of an older-ish FPS mood... thinking Halo 3 (replay) or Fry Cry (first time) .

The original Far Cry is a rough experience to go back to. The human enemies are fine, and being able to wander around a relatively open world is fun, but once you encounter the monsters, the game becomes a slog. Your mileage on this one may vary, and since you mentioned it would be your first time, yeah, it is worth trying it out just to see, but most folks end up coming away with a bad taste in their mouths in the second half.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Yeah you can say the same with Crysis and the aliens, lol. It really sucks in the second half. I'd just replay Halo 3 if that's the only other option.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
That very issue with the old Far Cry got me like that back when it was still pretty new. The game started out with so much promise, but once into the weeds there and the non-human stuff popped up the game was a mix of just infuriating and depressing it went down that road. I never did finish it. I tried for a time, pushed through some but got so fed up I didn't just stop, but erased and sold it in a time when I never sold anything. Even then it turned me off to the franchise fearing more of the same and with so many other FPS games out there I didn't care.

@Fragems - Damn man. But hey, at least you got that off your chest. You can move on to something better. Chin up.
@Jagosaurus - Welcome back. I’m not much of a reader but I’m a huge listener. I’m always looking for something to listen. What books did you go through?

Yeah I still can't believe my timing spidey sense must have been tingling

Kind of thinking about joining the military. I've always wanted to, but I was always worried about how my Mom would react since she tries to shelter me so much. I'm about to turn 27 though so if I'm going to do it I better get the ball rolling.
