I guess I'm just trying to figure out how YouTubers would be part of the problem but our own articles on essentially the same topic would not be part of the problem (and our old content was actually popular back in the day). I mean, any time you try to make people aware of quality games that are under-appreciated you risk those items coming under greater demand and thus higher prices.

Yeah, YouTube is full of low-quality content, but people aren't going to watch low-quality content, so that's unlikely to influence the market. So I'm a little confused as to the meat of your complaint. What part of your argument am I missing?

Proportional overkill. Racketboy would be in a minority of known popular enough websites to cover such things. It's a site that either hires or enlists helpful people to write up decent small reading pieces about things. Youtube anyone with a camera can be an authority figure and get a hell of a lot more traffic and it just spreads like a cancer really.

I'd say back when Racketboy did it it was long enough ago it was before things really started to boom so it was more of an honest discovery of things to help others out, a true sense of trying to help/share with the community without ulterior motives. Since then youtube makers and others seem to do it as a way just to cash in getting crap from people, money(donations/patreon), or as a way to hopefully stir the pot to help make the financial value of their collections balloon. One (RB) being more genuinely honest and helpful without an undertone to it, the other there for a mix of attention whoring and financial gain.

Been teaching my 2yr old son the ways of "The Nintendo". He thinks it's hilarious when he breaks a window or crashes in Paperboy. He also likes playing light gun games.

When he's not playing, I've been punishing myself with Ninja Gaiden.
