I personally never had an issue with Luke but he was definitely passionate about his view points.
Luke, if you happen to see this: good luck cleaning all your house's too many windows, stay healthy, avoid crappy bosses, hug your cool dog, & scare your wife with the creepy balloon. Man, just hit me I've read a lot of your posts in the "smiled/ticked off" thread over the years.
Adios.

Whoever it was on page 1 who said this thread is "professional" .. You are wrong.
A boss/supervisor doesn't bring a group into a room and say " Hey we fired Luke. This is why.. And this is what we go through as supervisors"
Personally as a guy who works in the corporate world I see this thread as unnecessary.
In my opinion at no time should a mod have to explain why they did ANYTHING to the community. This just seems like a " you know.. I probably made a mistake... So uhhh.. This is why"
So what the guy got warnings... Last I remember of Luke, he's an adult... And in 2 weeks he will either not remember the site. And/or just made another account to use the b/s/t

Luke never used the bst and he has been a daily posting member for several years...
This isn't a corporate work environment, but a hobbyist forum. I think, due to the recent issues and the nature of Lukes long term membership, it was a nice gesture by the mods to give an explanation.

100% agree. This is a community with moderators who treat it as such. When a long time member such as Luke get banned its nice that they kept us informed about how they came to the decision so that we could discuss said decision openly. And I guarantee Luke hasn't forgotten about the forum, just as much as the forum hasn't forgotten about him.

Ehh I remember a couple years ago I was huge into.the forum multiple posting daily....
Then life happened.
I used to be the guy with 2500 videogames. Now I have a ps4 with 2-3 games.
Every time I want to get back into collecting. Life happens. Either I move. Or the job gets nuts... Etc etc.
I don't think he will " forget" about the forum as I still randomly say hi.
But once it's not on your mind 24/7 it gets pushed to the back easily.
Luke was good people. He was one to call people out on their shit
Sucks he's gone but at the end of the day it's just a website.

Luke requested this thread. It was a courtesy to him as a long-term member.

It's natural for communities to decline unless they move along with the times.
Many treasured older games have too steep an entry barrier, limiting how many new users will embrace them.
In principal I favor moderator transparency. On many sites decisions are kept so private there's little accountability for mistakes and corruption, or room for the community to give their two cents about controversial issues.

Well I'm just discovering this thread, as I've been super busy at work since Thanksgiving.
Sad to see him banned, he was one of our strongest contributing members. Never had any problems with him personally. He seemed like a pretty swell guy, if maybe abrasive at times.
