I've stuck up for Deus Ex: Invisible War, Arkham Origins and the Croc games before and I will here as well. I also enjoy Sonic R even if it is technically shit.

Oh, I love the non-grainy FMV games as well, I just have a sweet spot for the 90s look and retro ambition. I am currently playing Darkstar, which was released just a few years ago and has clean FMV visuals. It has some of the cast of Mystery Science Theatre 3000, which is odd because it is a cheesy Sci Fi game, but they play it straight faced. They could do a MST3K episode of their own game.

Bah! I'm already emulating Windows 95 to play a large chunk of impossible to play games that will never see a release on GOG, so it doesn't bother me that I have to install through that option. Saves me the cash.Exhuminator wrote:All the Gabriel Knight games are available on GOG now. I would go that route for playing them personally.
I gave DarkStar a shot and was completely lost. I think I need to give it another shot and try to get into it again.J T wrote:Oh, I love the non-grainy FMV games as well, I just have a sweet spot for the 90s look and retro ambition. My advice is don't be too proud to use an FAQ with this one. Some of the puzzles are thrown off by the game's clunky interface. It's too easy to miss important things and to think you need more items than you actually have.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I gave DarkStar a shot and was completely lost. Hmm this doesnt seem to appeal to me as much. I didnt care for Aerobiz much because it had to with planes or flight. I mostly like the business building and competition. I enjoy simulation style games like that.Exhuminator wrote:You guys that liked Aerobiz might like this.

Lots of Sonic popping up haha, so I will throw in... Sonic 3D Blast! I've always been a fan. I still need to try the Saturn version, the alternate OST sounds pretty awesome.
Resident Evil 5 is kind of on the fence. Even I kind of went through this hate stage with an agenda against it... even though I had a blast my first time playing it, replayed it a lot when it was new and co-op'd, etc. Finally replayed it again a year or two ago and it was great stuff that's aged really well. Not on par with RE4 or some others for me, but it's hardly some omega downfall that destroys the franchise.
