Oh I agree, but I feel that some people were honestly expecting some enormous sprawling MMO. Which it is not in any way.

The only issue I have is, it's the kind of game I'd love to make a party in to go exploring together.

Hopefully most of my want list comes out 2015, but this is all day 1 stuff for me. Putting my money with Sony on PS4.

No Man's Sky- really excited about this one and some more info has came out since last month hyping it up I'm imagining it to be like a 3D Star Control or something to that effect this is a game we need. Hell even if it doesn't hit 2015 to put the finishing touches on I'd still wait.

Rainbow Six Siege- there has been some multiplayer previews from UBI and they are going back to the roots of true FPS tactical strategy, no respawn true hardcore team tactics, when your dead your done (till next match). Another game I'm keeping an eye out for, Rainbow Six rarely disappoints.

Dark Souls II (PS4)- No introduction needed. :)

Bloodborne- Most likely my most anticipated game thus far, I have a feeling this will trump Dark Souls due to its darker settings which I'm a fan of, don't get me wrong DS is dark but this game will be way darker.. Yay

Cyberpunk 2077- not sure when this is hitting but man stop the teasing and fill us in with some updates I'm intrigued!!

Just Cause 3- I just got into the series a few months ago and glad I did these games are so fun and bananas. Everything is over the top and the gameplay was much better than expected. I like the open worldness and it reminds me if Far Cry was 3rd person which is a bonus. This will be a sleeper hit IMO.

Let it Die- Absolutely love Suda, even tho it is Download only (which I'm against) it's free to play and to show my support I will gladly purchase $60 or more in micro transactions for you my lord.

Mortal Kombat X- ever since the reboot things have been superb for the series, Injustice is awesome as well so can't wait to transition into next gen.

Resident Evil Revelations 2- I have every other Resident Evil so why not, oh how I have been woo'ed since 1996

Last but not least, why else would there be a P.T so early (2014) without a planned upcoming release (2015)?
It hasn't been confirmed but I predict be prepared by Halloween 2015 for the new Silent Hill to be release and if so you will have the scariest game to ever be created. I have played every horror game and nothing has ever f*ed me up like this trailer (yeah that's right I said trailer). The game is not even complete and already I can tell they are not playing any games when it comes to scaring the shit out of us. What did it for me was the realistic scale of the atmosphere everything was portioned perfectly and perceivable as if you are in the game, honestly be cautious of this game if your faint at heart.

And that's my rant on stuff I'm over excited for,
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

No Man's Sky seems the most interesting to me. I haven't been following modern game news much though. Have they said anything about how players interact with the universe?
Putting it in spoilers so as not to upset anyone...cause, you know... the internet.
Essentially a player will be placed in the farther regions of the universe on a random planet. There you explore the planet, mine resources, document new plant and animal life and use said resources to gain money, upgrade gear and ships and further explore further into the center of the universe. There is a supposed storyline, albeit one that is not layed out before you and requires research and personal interpretation to fill in the gaps.

Not only is land combat a part of the game, but space combat seems to be a huge portion of it as well. You can take part in space battles against AI armies and be active in the ongoing struggles of the political space world.

There is a multi-player aspect, but one that is going to really disappoint a lot of people. I want to stress that the developers have stated that they really want this to be a solo experience and that, even though you may come across a player in a style akin to the game, Journey, you aren't really meant to find people. Plus, they have stated that the universe is so big that finding someone would be highly unlikely. The multi-player is more like a shared universe that gets updated with changes made by players.

When you discover a new planet, star system, wildlife etc. you are credited for said discovery. Took down a giant battleship that crashed onto a planet? Other players will see the result of that on said planet. From what I gathered you can not just message up a buddy and go tag-teaming the universe, which some may find disappointing. This of course may change, or I could be completely wrong, but I have been following this project like a hawk as it is my current obsession that keeps me distracted from wanting a Shenmue III.
This sounds spectacular and I must have it.

Well, now I'm interested in getting into a bunch of fights and crashing a fleet of peaceful agrarian battle cruisers into a planet as a monument to myself.

Excellent.
