Yeah kinda strange, though I'm mad that series for the show of it ended so soon....I enjoyed that show among the others

Agreed. Such a large library of RPGs it's mind boggling.
About the D-pad: the DSi and the XL model had clicky buttons similar to the GBA SP. The Lite had mushy buttons. Some people prefer clicks but the Lite I enjoy more.
Quick question, I own a 3DS XL is there any reason to buy a DSi XL? Do DS games look better on the DSi XL than the 3DS XL? Personally I think they look pretty good but it does look a little sharper on my DS Lite
I don't think there's any particular reason to own a DSi XL if you have a 3DS XL. I'm not the best judge of picture quality but I think DS games look great on the 3DS XL.
Can't say buttons bugged me but of all three the DSLite by leaps and bounds was the best system and also the last to be not region locked and did GBA games too. The DSi didn't feel as nice and it was locked down and had the GBA removed, the original just had a dimmer screen, less nice overall.

DSi was locked down for its online content through the DSiWare stuff and any specific game release that required the DSi only, of which are very few. Physical releases of games that didn't require DSi only were good to go regardless of region.

Good question. I have a regular 3DS and went after a DSiXL for my DS library.
Of course now with the 2DS out, I think that may be the better substitute.

Yes, DS games will look much better on the DSi XL than they will on the 3DS XL. That's because the DSi XL has the same resolution as the DS Lite ( 256 × 192 ), and that means there is no upscaling involved.
Caster I know, but it was the beginning of the end sadly and it turned out true. Sadly they knew they could get away with it and being control freaks they had a reason with the online stuff which is sad. There are a few 3DS games I'd pick up in an instant we got hosed out of or was crappily done as a full price(to retail) download which was awful.
