I've been talking to him. Currently I suspect the converter was damaged in transit.

I think the converter I have is just at fault.

Both SCART cables did the same thing(composite and raw sync), 2 different component cables, 3 tvs, and 2 genesis 2s.

Yeah but the other common factor is all systems used have been a Genesis.
To paraphrase that old saying, when the possible is left you get the impossible.

Lot of people buy SCART RGB to Component converters for the Genesis.

Particular Example: http://www.amazon.com/gp/community-cont ... B004XSSDPO

So I would say, since I bought this solely for the Genesis 2, other people have gotten it to work with the Genesis 2, and mine isn't working with the Genesis 2; then that concludes that something is wrong with the converter. After all, converting RGB to component for the Genesis 2 is one of the functions of this converter.

Right being the converter proves damage occurred when not in my possession.

The two things I can do are either a return, or provide a non-Genesis RGB cable to test compatibility.

PM me the refund amount if I return it to you. The original payment I sent you for it was $35.00. Also PM your address and PayPal address, just in case any of that info has changed.

I thought a refund is what you were referencing to when you said you could do a return.

Maybe.

Short version: I'm just over-analyzing things!

Long version:
For one I'd like to know what a different console might do.
Another is I get flaky about problems I didn't encounter, and was unaware of any reasonable expectation they'd arise.
Lastly I made the mistake of thinking too much like a thrift store. By not advertising returns or whether it works.

Not sure if this is a yes or no...

Atm, I don't have any other RGB Scart Cables to test with other consoles, and I don't plan on buying one. Because I solely bought this converter for the Genesis 2. I was going to use it for the Saturn as well, but ditched buying one because I am happy with S-Video.

Anyway, PM me about this so we can keep this thread for the technical aspect for future readers.
