Is the psp the same as a ps2?

An external scaler can fix the issue with the component out not taking up the full screen, if it's that big of a deal.

As for the official Sony component cord being too small, just buy a third party one. The one I'm using right now is 15' or something--more than long enough.

Shame the PS2 and PSP never had much connectivity.

Guess it came too late for it.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

The PSP is a completely different thing. I love it, but you have to think of it as a completely different system. Discounting it because it's not as awesome as the PS2 is silly - just don't expect a PS2 Nomad or whatever.
