For me it really comes down to why wouldn't I want to enjoy something to the max potential and appreciate it it I'm going to be doing it so much.
It's like, why would you get a nice bike if a cheap one can get you from A to B... Well if you don't care then you don't care.

I have a Logitech G500 mouse and G510 keyboard. Use them both for gaming. Picked them up brand new from Best Buy when they were having a sale during the 2010 holiday season.
