It's always sad when you lose a crewmember...

Can you name your crewmembers in FTL? I wish this game was a little more TV friendly.

I believe you can rename the crew members.

I am. I really like playing PC games on my TV with an Xbox controller and most games are designed to do that. It won't keep me from playing a game like FTL, but it would be nice if it took TV's into consideration. The Swapper is a good example of a game that is still playable on the TV even though there is no controller support.

Always helps make the stories more poignant and interesting if you get to name your crew.

I really like the idea of Big Picture. Though for me, in my gameroom, it makes more sense to just be gaming at my desk most of the time. And yeah, I use a 360 controller. And most games that "don't support it," I MAKE THEM support it. (I just figured out how to use 360 controller on Source games for instance).

What do you do in Source? I usually use something like Joy2Key, Xpadder, or Pinnacle.

I was probably the only person on this forum to play Diablo III with a controller on PC. It didn't work too well.

Start up a Source game. Launch the console. Type:

Code: Select all

exec 360controller

Play game. 8)

I'm coming to that point as well. The game is just a lot of fun to go through and try out different techniques or learn new things about the game.

I am proud (or not) to say that I make it to Sector 8 every time on easy . I need to get my strategy down for the rebel boss (rebel scum!) because it just wipes me out all the time.

Cloaking Device and Crew Transporter are your best friends in that fight.
