Baseball pockets! Thats great, thanks for the tip I was thinking of Coin collector wallet but I didn't know if they would be big enough.

I'm still confused why the US shipping is so high. The European price seems a bit high, but not far from what its cost me to send consoles over there, the price to US is absurd though.

Find someplace locally that sells comics or sports/magic cards and they'll probably have some.

I just picked amazon for a picture.

Wal-Mart even has some.

I think he's talking about the shipping price on the console though...

Well it came and I'm chuffed with it. Really enjoyed opening it up after all those years in a warehouse somewhere.

I quite like the pad - I think its thicker than the MS or NES pad which seems to make it more comfortable for my hands.

I've only had a brief chance to play Blazing Lazers so far and it seems like a cool game. Now to hunt out some more ;)

Are you going to find a way to get RGB from it?

I'm not sure tbh. I've modded several other consoles before and generally enjoy a bit of soldering, but the fact that this was NIB puts me off tampering with it even though the PAL ones are quite common in this state.

From what I have read, only the PAL console can be modded for RGB yet they can't be modded for 60hz. That doesn't really bother me though as I've always lived here and always put up with big borders and slower games.

Hmm. I thought PAL Turbografx uses 60hz speed and video internally. Then was modified to include a separate encoder circuit to alter their already finalized graphics. I don't recall PC Engine's original design even having components on-board to enable 50hz operation.

Not like SNES model 2 or Sega Nomad who we know contain unused internal 50hz toggles, since a PAL release was considered by the hardware team at some point.

Thats what I would have thought, but all the research that I have done indicates that board is slightly different and nobody seems to have found a way to get 60hz from it.

It would be nice, but I'm not too bothered as I grew up in a time when PAL games had ugly boarders and ran slower, so I'm used to it.

So far I have China Warrior, which is not nearly as bad as people make out. Today CraterMaze and Galaga arrived so I'll be playing those tonight :)
