I actually do feel there was some slowdown with snes street fighter games when trying to attack your opponent. I think it also happens when you beat your opponent a small tentsion gameplay gap. I also think capcom logo at the start up feels slow. I prefer not to play console but the arcade versions.

I admit it. I posted this during a nervous breakdown, just to get something off my chest.

I really do beleive Sega was paying developers to sabotage the SNES, I just have no way of proving it.

BTW, Super Ghouls and Ghosts had some really bad slowdown.

At 1:20, there are only 2 enemies onscreen, and it is already lagging like crazy. Do people really think this is all the system is capable of doing?

That's not an SNES playing that. I've never experienced slowdown like that on SGnG on my SNES. That has to be a ROM, probably only an OK computer with bsnes or something, because it is not that slow, especially at that spot.

I... I just don't even know how to respond to this.

Did it ever occur to you that

You're not a programmer...

In the SNES era...

and that the SNES is honestly very slow?

Because Capcom/Konami games on the SNES are notorious for slowdown.

...right

Gradius III has some bad slowdown at times, but that's pretty endemic to shmups.

If you were trying to freeze up my SNES emulator, then you succeeded. I'm not sure how that's pwnage though.

You know, if the SNES is your favorite system. Fine. Cool. Whatever. A lot of people share that opinion. I'd really try harder though if you're going to try and convince anybody of your conspiracy. Right now you just seem like a crazy fanboy that doesn't understand code timing.

Think about what you're saying. I'm almost certain Capcom and Konami made more money off the SNES than the Genesis. Street Fighter II certainly sold better on the SNES. Why the hell would they sabotage what makes them the most money? More importantly, why would Sega pay them to make their code slower anyway?

Why wouldn't Sega just pay them to make the games console-exclusive?
