Panzer Dragoon was an on rails shooter....why would anything related to it need motion controls especially on the Kinect?

There's still a chance normal controls will be included. Look at Child of Eden, it was said to be Kinect only upon debut but included controller support in the end.

Come on guys give it a chance. The kinect can be powerful when in the right hands.

Fuck that. They are taking a beloved franchise that is in large part lauded for how it controls, and substituting that with arm flailing, hopping, etc. It will be the same thing with Kinect Steel Battalion, too. I'm agitated because these are great niche franchises which are miraculously getting a new entry - but ones that (as far as we know so far) will necessarily be stripped of the core gameplay that made them great because of the platform they are being made for.

The horrible, horrible reviews for Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor reminded me about how this franchise is also being hung out to dry:

So yeah, I don't anticipate there will ever be a Kinect game I'll want to pick up. I just hope it doesn't become death's door for once-great franchises

It doesn't instill hope in other kinect games where accuracy as opposed to 'good enough' is needed.

One of my friends was talking about the new Steel Battalion... I've never heard him sound so frustrated about a game that much before. Wish I could've watched his attempt at trying to play it.
