Really? A great movie is going to be spoiled by 3D? That's perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Yeah, 3D is absolutely over-done these days, and it's often done in post, which makes it look terrible. This movie however, is being filmed in 3D, on Red 4k cameras, at 48 fps. What this means, is that it's going to look absolutely fantastic both in 2D and 3D, as well as in IMAX. Did I mention it was going to be in IMAX?o.pwuaioc wrote:Fuck it. I'm not watching it.
Seriously, get over the whole anti-3D thing. A movie that's shot in 3D, by an amazing director like Peter Jackson, with WETA digital handling SFX, will still be amazing. I for one can't wait to see it in theaters, as apparently the 48 fps makes the movie look much smoother, and the smoothness also helps the 3D look much better, as well as helping to reduce strain on your eyes.
