wow, really? i HATE the US packaging. always preferred the more slender, uniform look of the NTSC-J library.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I can understand why most American game collectors would prefer the American versions though. The cases and booklets are vastly superior (Japanese versions are in jewel cases like PS1 games). Plus, the American editions are worth more (duh) and are much more collectible. I can't ever seeing myself paying top dollar for American Saturn (or PC-Engine or Super Famicom) games, and thankfully I can understand enough Japanese so importing is a viable option.

I love love love long boxes (when they aren't broken and dirty). I don't care that they're fragile, the just look so expensive and awesome. Plus it feels like you're really getting something.aaron wrote:wow, really? i HATE the US packaging. always preferred the more slender, uniform look of the NTSC-J library.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I can understand why most American game collectors would prefer the American versions though. What if I damage my long box protector? If only there were something I could put it in to keep it safe.

Whenever i see a saturn game in a very good condition at the store for a dollar or two i always buy it so i can switch the cases with broken ones i get on ebay

Re: Finally got PANZER DRAGOON SAGA!!!!!
i do this, too. i don't even really collect much anymore but i just can't bear to see good cases going to waste like that. i know SOMEONE will want it. the numbers are dwindling.ninjainspandex wrote:Whenever i see a saturn game in a very good condition at the store for a dollar or two i always buy it so i can switch the cases with broken ones i get on ebay
fun fact: Sega CD and Saturn cases differ in the size of the hole/notch on the hinge, with the SCD just slightly bigger.

Saga is easily hands down one of the best games I have ever played. The story, battles, bosses, and graphics(for '98 and on a Saturn!) are all top notch! Is it perfect? Not quite, but it sure is damn close. The only problem I have with it is that its pretty easy, especially the second time around.

I was not aware of that;aaron wrote:fun fact: Sega CD and Saturn cases differ in the size of the hole/notch on the hinge, with the SCD just slightly bigger.
I think I even switched some SCD cases for Saturn inserts some years back (nothing expensive IIRC). I hope that's the only difference in the fit. I didn't notice anything else either, except that the backing wouldn't cooperate sometimes; but I just attributed it to slight bends in the paper.
...just another lost soul...
Re: Finally got PANZER DRAGOON SAGA!!!!!
Ps1 suxxxors Saturn rulz. No really I love the ps1, but I cant think of a single ps1 game id pay 200$ for.
Re: Finally got PANZER DRAGOON SAGA!!!!!
Some would argue Panzer Dragoon Saga isn't worth the $200....
Personally though, I paid £80 for it a few years back, and to be honest, I love it! At the end of the day, £80 may seem a lot to some people for an "old second hand game", but that's less than twice the price of 2 brand new PS3/360 games here, and for a game so legendary and one I had wanted since I first heard about it in 1998, it doesn't seem so silly to me.
