Games that you know are good but can't be bothered with.

RPGs in general. i'm just not a fan of turn-based fighting. it's too slow.

Deus Ex, I'd love to experience it, but the dated visuals deter me. Same goes for HL2.

I suppose that is an appropriate sentiment from the one and only FRANK DUX!frankdux wrote:RPGs in general. i'm just not a fan of turn-based fighting. it's too slow.

I completely agree. However I love the heck out of Western-RPGs and Action-RPGs.frankdux wrote:RPGs in general. i'm just not a fan of turn-based fighting. it's too slow.
Right now, it's Devil May Cry for me. Everyone keeps telling me that it's completely amazing. But I'm on the 3rd stage and it just seems like a repetitive beat-em. And the cutscenes are chock full of bad cliches, at least the ones I've seen so far. I haven't gone back to it in a little bit now.

Strongly agreed.frankdux wrote:RPGs in general. i'm just not a fan of turn-based fighting. it's too slow.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I didn't give up on BoF IV intentionally, it just ended up failing to hold my attention. I'm sure I'm just going through some kind of JRPG slump like you're saying though, I'll probably be back at them sometime down the road.Xeogred wrote:Did you give up on BoFIV? Nooooooo! I was in that JRPG slump for years myself though.

I avoid open world games. I don't have the time to explore them. Shenmue, Grand theft auto, etc frustrate me.

y'know this thread has made me realize there's really no genre I can think of that I outright avoid. I tend to have an interest in at least checking out games of any genre that I haven't been exposed to so that I can at least know from actual experience how I feel about them.
