Definitely dude.

I'll also say that I find the Genesis to be very reliable. I've never come across a non-working Genesis (any model) before.

I just wish my best modded Saturn wasn't brown and yellow, lol. I was thinking of switching the cases with my other modded Saturn (black) but I noticed they're different versions. I'll just have to figure out how to dissemble that Saturn and try my hand at re-painting it someday, along with my brown Dreamcast!

In my experience the Genesis isn't always the best. I remember one of my grandparents used to have a model 1 that I'd have to flicker around with the switch, maybe blow in the games (which many of us probably eventually found out growing up this is supposedly bad to do, lol), and the current model 2 one I've had for awhile now doesn't always work too great, but maybe it just wasn't in that great of shape when I bought it used. It usually gives me the same problem Sideroller mentioned, trouble starting up, etc.

The only system I have ever owned that had issues was a 97 ps1 that started skipping while playing fmv in-game videos, otherwise the gameplay was perfect.

Also it's funny considering how shitty 360's are, but I'd honestly say the original Xbox is a definite beast. I lugged that thing around for too many LAN parties to count, think I even dropped it once or twice, was boxed away for years and I just pulled it out recently, it still works like a charm. My S controller is still in top notch shape as well.

I would wager that is because the original X-Box was made of entirely off the shelf, proven hardware. The 360 was Microsoft's first shot at really making something new for themselves - I don't think any platform holder gets it right the first time.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The Xbox 360, just horrible, 2 RROD's, stupidly expensive repairs and they only give you a free month of Xbox Live in compensation.

The Dreamcast has a horrible CD drive though...

Yeah, it honestly doesn't get much more "PC" than the original Xbox. lol

I gave it away years ago when I picked up a psone, but I wouldn't have thought of that. :P

It was a well known trick to turn the PS1 upside down. Something about the lens getting closer to the disc. Sometimes sideways, or even somewhere in between upside down and sideways did the trick. I remember some very unstable setups from my personal experience... lol

Original Xbox. Bought one that had disk reading issues. Fortunately I could return it.
NES for the usual reasons.
