I'll also say that I find the Genesis to be very reliable. I've never come across a non-working Genesis (any model) before.
I just wish my best modded Saturn wasn't brown and yellow, lol. I was thinking of switching the cases with my other modded Saturn (black) but I noticed they're different versions. I'll just have to figure out how to dissemble that Saturn and try my hand at re-painting it someday, along with my brown Dreamcast!
In my experience the Genesis isn't always the best. I remember one of my grandparents used to have a model 1 that I'd have to flicker around with the switch, maybe blow in the games (which many of us probably eventually found out growing up this is supposedly bad to do, lol), and the current model 2 one I've had for awhile now doesn't always work too great, but maybe it just wasn't in that great of shape when I bought it used. It usually gives me the same problem Sideroller mentioned, trouble starting up, etc.
